more to come

Finally getting my Handmade Spring Wardrobe act together (in time for summer, right?).  Hanging up pictures of projects right in front of my sewing machine helped me to actually start cutting and stitching, rather than pinning and pinning (ok, I'm still doing that too).  Uh, and a $50 groupon to G Street Fabrics helped too.

Can you even make sense of my plans?  They might change.

It looks like I'm going to have one of these finished shortly and maybe three more done this weekend?!?  I'm dreaming, but hopefully I can squeeze in at least one more - a three day weekend all by my lonesome has lent itself to do some productivity, including knitting and knitting.

The freshly given tute! Make that first! I want to see it in different fabrics XD Also, install disqus so I don't have to suffer through the indignities of recaptcha!

    1. Guess what?! I just finished the freshly given top a couple hours ago! It'll be posted later this week.

Also, I sort of have no idea what you're talking about. I tried to google both of those words and think it has to do with writing the funny words so that it knows you're a human when you comment? I am less than technologically savvy.

  2. Fun Fun! I love hanging clippings up on the wall of fabric and patterns. Pinterest is great but having them there in front of you, and being able to mix and match them is wonderful. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with and particularly how that kimino sleeve dress goes!

  3. That black dress is really nice - I can't wait to see when you knock that one out. I know you're doing it in the swatch next to it but I didn't know how else to describe the dress.

I am envious of your skill!

    1. Oh my goodness thank you so much! That black dress will be up soon (it'll be bluish-white) but I'm having a few technical difficulties because I'm using a material that's not meant to be used for this type of pattern HOWEVER it seems to be a very good beginner pattern if you were to take up sewing....!

  4. Yay, great to hear you're sewing up a storm (at least one of us is, haha)! Can't wait to see all of it, but yep, I'm especially interested in the Kimono dress as well...have been eyeing that pattern for a while! Hope you had lots of fun trying out these new patterns!

    1. The Kimono dress is having a few kinks, mainly that I stubbornly used a knit, but I think it might be working out. Have to wait until the end of the work week to finish it. Are you working on anything new? I love seeing what you make.
