The knot's kind of fun to make. I have a long queue too and just did a big fabric shop! A fabric with more drape probably would be better for this pattern - here is a nice version: http://selfishseamstress.wordpress.com/2012/03/05/burda-3-2012-108-not-just-for-tall-girls-anymore/

You should make one it's a good pattern, I think (what do I know about these things though)smunchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16059247794687639617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4780543354125186763.post-77285210703462837492012-05-21T19:02:02.768-04:002012-05-21T19:02:02.768-04:00It is fantastic! I bet there is a lot of ironing involved if you want to wear it though :( What fabric do you think would work best for this pattern. It might be something I could attempt to make for the summer months.meghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13914238108624910473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4780543354125186763.post-17198741447355935392012-05-15T21:12:32.990-04:002012-05-15T21:12:32.990-04:00Thanks Twinnie! Now that I think about it I shortened the hem even more - the pattern calls for a 1 7/8" hem allowance, but I chopped off 2.5" and THEN used a 2.5" seam allowance. Good luck!smunchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16059247794687639617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4780543354125186763.post-80340883373735552712012-05-14T11:29:50.650-04:002012-05-14T11:29:50.650-04:00this is really lovely. I'm 5'10" too, so it's nice to see how it fits length-wise on someone of a similar height!shivanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15583851866935669111noreply@blogger.com
